UPPAbaby lists it at $699.99 and says it is engineered for walking, running and all-terrain use. It has never-flat tires, a hand brake and a 55 lb seat, but at 29.2 lb it is heavy and bulky folded.

The Ridge V2 is UPPAbaby's answer for active families, and unlike some all-terrain strollers, the maker says you can run with it. It has never-flat tires, suspension, a front wheel lock and a disc hand brake, and the seat holds up to 55 lb. The costs are weight and size: 29.2 lb and 19.5 x 25.6 x 36 in folded. BabyGearLab found the first Ridge bouncy for running, so serious runners may want a dedicated jogger. For mixed trails and jogs, it fits well.
Who is the UPPAbaby Ridge V2 for?
The UPPAbaby Ridge V2 is for parents who want to get outside: trail walks, gravel paths, beach boardwalks and some running. UPPAbaby lists it at $699.99 and calls it a performance jogger that also works for everyday strolls. It is the second version of the Ridge, which UPPAbaby launched in 2021, and uppababy.com now points the old Ridge page to the V2. The seat is rated from 3 months to 55 lb, and a newborn can ride in the UPPAbaby Bassinet or an Aria or Mesa infant car seat with adapters. A PiggyBack board can carry an older sibling, but there is no second seat. If you mostly walk on city sidewalks and want a lighter fold, the Cruz V3 or Vista V3 suits better. If you run long distances several times a week, a dedicated jogging stroller may feel sportier.
How does the Ridge V2 ride and steer?
The UPPAbaby Ridge V2 has three wheels with never-flat tires, so there is nothing to pump or patch. Bambi Baby lists a 12 in front wheel and 16 in rear wheels, all foam-filled. UPPAbaby lists suspension, a swivel-locking front wheel with a visual indicator and a responsive disc hand brake for slowing on hills. The handlebar has several heights, and Bambi Baby says the V2 adds a lower position. BabyGearLab's review of the original Ridge praised the suspension and adjustable handlebar for reducing fatigue, and said the hand brake was very responsive. It also found the ride quite bouncy and gave it a run-ability score of 7.3. Bambi Baby notes that high-mileage runners may prefer air-tired rivals such as the BOB Alterrain Pro. For trails and casual jogs, the Ridge V2 has the hardware you want.

How big is the Ridge V2 when folded?
UPPAbaby lists the Ridge V2 at 29.2 lb, and says it has a one-hand fold and stands on its own. Bambi Baby says the V2 switched from the old twist fold to a press-and-slide fold. Folded, it measures 19.5 x 25.6 x 36 in, which is long and wide. That is bigger than most full-size strollers, so check your trunk before you buy. BabyGearLab called the original Ridge heavier and larger than average when folded, though it said the fold was straightforward the first time. If you carry a stroller up stairs every day, this one will feel heavy. It is not an airline carry-on stroller.
Is the Ridge V2 comfortable and safe?
The UPPAbaby Ridge V2 has a deep, padded seat with what UPPAbaby calls infinite recline, so you can set any angle. Bambi Baby notes that it does not lie fully flat, which is why a newborn needs the Bassinet or an infant car seat. Bambi Baby also says the V2 adds side ventilation panels in the seat for warm days. The seat is rated from 3 months to 55 lb and up to 40 in tall. BabyGearLab called the original Ridge canopy big enough to shade a napping child, with UPF 50+ fabric. UPPAbaby lists GREENGUARD Gold certification and Baby Safety Alliance verification. UPPAbaby adds a wrist strap to the handlebar for safety when running or on hills.
How much storage does the Ridge V2 have?
UPPAbaby lists a large, easy-access covered basket with a 20 lb capacity and built-in storage pockets, and the basket cover comes in the box. That keeps dust and rain off your bag on trails. Bambi Baby lists a 30 lb basket, but UPPAbaby's own figure is 20 lb, so we use that. A water bottle holder is also included, which is handy for runners. For a day at the park, a diaper bag and jackets fit without trouble.

01 · The early months
Seat, reclined
From 3 months; UPPAbaby says jogging only once the child can hold their head up unassisted, and to ask your physician. Deep, padded seat with infinite recline; Bambi Baby says it does not lie fully flat

02 · Sitting up, through the toddler years
Seat, upright
The seat is rated to 55 lb and 40 in, so most children can ride until they no longer need a stroller.
Can you run with the UPPAbaby Ridge V2?
Yes. UPPAbaby says the Ridge V2 is engineered for walking, running, trail and all-terrain use, and calls it a performance jogger. It says the stroller is suitable for jogging when your child is able to hold their head up unassisted, and asks parents to check with their physician on whether the child is old enough to run with. Bambi Baby notes that many pediatricians suggest waiting until about 9 months. When running, lock the front wheel, which has a visual indicator, wear the wrist strap and use the disc hand brake on downhills. That is a key difference from the Thule Urban Glide 3, which Thule does not approve for running. BabyGearLab found the original Ridge bouncy and said it isn't the best for running, so the Ridge V2 is best for parents who mix trails, walks and shorter runs.

UPPAbaby Ridge V2 FAQ
Is the UPPAbaby Ridge V2 a jogging stroller?
Yes. UPPAbaby calls it a performance jogger and says it is engineered for walking, running, trail and all-terrain use. It has a swivel-locking front wheel, a disc hand brake and a wrist strap. UPPAbaby says to jog only once your child can hold their head up unassisted.
What is the difference between the Ridge and the Ridge V2?
Bambi Baby lists a new press-and-slide one-hand fold, a fifth, lower handlebar height, side ventilation panels and new fabrics. The original Ridge was recalled in 2022 for rear disc brakes, with free replacement discs. UPPAbaby now sells only the Ridge V2, at $699.99.
Can a newborn use the Ridge V2?
Yes, but not in the main seat. UPPAbaby says the Ridge V2 is suitable from birth with the Bassinet or an Aria or Mesa infant car seat, using adapters. Both are sold separately. The toddler seat starts at 3 months, and jogging should wait until your physician agrees.
How heavy is the Ridge V2?
UPPAbaby lists a true weight of 29.2 lb. Folded, it measures 19.5 x 25.6 x 36 in, and it stands on its own. That is heavier and longer than most full-size strollers, so measure your trunk first and expect to lift it with both hands.
