UPPAbaby Vista V2 Review: Buy a Used Vista V2 or a New Vista V3?
Short answer: The UPPAbaby Vista V2 is worth it secondhand or on clearance, not at its old $999.99 list price. It has been replaced by the Vista V3. The V2 came with a bassinet, holds 30 lb in the basket and can carry three children. At 27 lb it is heavy, so check its condition, parts and recall status first.
Previous model. UPPAbaby has replaced it with the UPPAbaby Vista V3. Read our UPPAbaby Vista V3 review.

The Vista V2 is still one of the most capable strollers you can find used. UPPAbaby's last listing showed a 27 lb stroller with an included bassinet, a reversible seat to 50 lb, a 30 lb basket and room for three children. The Vista V3 costs $999.99 today without a bassinet. So a clean V2 with its bassinet, at a fair used price, is good value. Skip it if the price is close to a new V3, or if parts are missing.
Who is the UPPAbaby Vista V2 for?
The UPPAbaby Vista V2 is for parents shopping secondhand, or catching leftover stock on sale, who want a full-size stroller that can grow with their family. UPPAbaby replaced it with the Vista V3, and its last US list price was $999.99, with clearance at $749.99 in December 2024. The V2 shipped with both a bassinet and a reversible toddler seat, so a complete used set covers birth to 50 lb. With a RumbleSeat V2+ and a PiggyBack board it can carry up to three children. Lucie's List noted that the Vista holds its resale value well, so used prices may not be as low as you hope. If you want a warranty and the newest design, buy the Vista V3. If you find a clean V2 with its bassinet for well under the price of a new V3, it is a smart buy.
How does the Vista V2 ride and steer?
The UPPAbaby Vista V2 has all-wheel suspension and front wheel locks with visual indicators, per UPPAbaby. BabyGearLab, which reviewed it before the V3 arrived, called it one of the easiest strollers in its review to use and said moving on uneven surfaces was surprisingly easy. It gave the V2 a maneuverability score of 8.0 and called its hard-surface performance a standout. Lucie's List praised the four-wheel suspension and said the wheels gave better maneuverability than the first Vista. At 25.7 in wide, it is broad for narrow shop aisles. One Lucie's List reader found it harder to push with the second seat attached. When buying used, spin each wheel, test the brake and check the wheel locks click in and out.

How big is the Vista V2 when folded?
UPPAbaby lists the Vista V2 at 27 lb: 20 lb for the frame and 7 lb for the seat. The bassinet adds 8.8 lb. Folded with the seat on, it measures 17.3 x 25.7 x 33.3 in, or 13 x 25.7 x 32 in without it. UPPAbaby says it folds in one step and stands on its own. BabyGearLab found it folds quickly and fairly flat, but needs two hands to release the fold lock, and it measured 14,157 cubic inches folded. It fits most SUV trunks, but a small hatchback will be tight. It is not a carry-on stroller.
Is the Vista V2 comfortable and safe?
The UPPAbaby Vista V2 came with a bassinet rated from birth to 20 lb, or until the baby can push up on hands and knees. UPPAbaby said its depth and ventilation made it suitable for overnight sleep with the separate Bassinet Stand. The reversible toddler seat suits children from 3 months to 50 lb, has a one-handed multi-position recline, an adjustable leg rest and a five-point harness that adjusts without rethreading. Canopies are extendable with UPF 50+ fabric and a vented peek-a-boo window. UPPAbaby listed JPMA and GREENGUARD Gold certification. When buying used, check the fabric, harness and buckle for wear.
How much storage does the Vista V2 have?
UPPAbaby lists the Vista V2 basket as extra-large and easy to reach, with a 30 lb limit. BabyGearLab said it has one of the biggest storage bins it reviewed, and Lucie's List called it huge, wide and easy to reach from front and back. That matches the Vista V3. A diaper bag, jackets and a full grocery run fit with room to spare. No cup holder or parent organizer came in the box, so look for one with the listing.

Should you buy a Vista V2 secondhand or the new Vista V3?
Start with price. UPPAbaby lists the Vista V3 at $999.99, and it does not include a bassinet. The Vista V2 came with one. On UPPAbaby's own specs, the two are close: the V2 weighs 27 lb and folds to 17.3 x 25.7 x 33.3 in, while the V3 weighs 27.6 lb and folds to 16.3 x 25.7 x 33.8 in. Both have a 30 lb basket and a 50 lb seat. A new V3 brings a 3-year warranty and current accessories. A used V2 makes sense when it comes with the bassinet and costs well under a new V3. Before you pay, check the serial number with UPPAbaby and the CPSC recall site, make sure the fold and brakes work, and confirm any extra seat or adapters fit the V2.

UPPAbaby Vista V2 FAQ
Is the UPPAbaby Vista V2 discontinued?
Yes. UPPAbaby replaced the Vista V2 with the Vista V3, and its old Vista V2 page now redirects to the V3. The V2 was on clearance at $749.99 on UPPAbaby's site in December 2024. Today you will mostly find it secondhand or as leftover retailer stock.
Is a used Vista V2 worth buying?
Often, yes, if the price is right. The V2 came with a bassinet, holds 30 lb in the basket and can carry three kids. A new Vista V3 is $999.99 without a bassinet. Check the frame, wheels, fold, harness and recall status, and walk away if parts are missing.
What is the difference between the Vista V2 and Vista V3?
By UPPAbaby's specs, the V3 is 0.6 lb heavier at 27.6 lb and folds 1 in shorter but 0.5 in taller. Both are 25.7 in wide with a 30 lb basket and 50 lb seat. The V2 included a bassinet; the V3 sells it separately.
Can a newborn use the Vista V2?
Yes. The Vista V2 came with a bassinet rated from birth to 20 lb, or until the baby can push up on hands and knees. The UPPAbaby Mesa infant car seat clicks on directly, and other brands fit with adapters. The toddler seat starts at 3 months.
